I posted a couple years ago about my experience with Samsung customer support regarding my computer monitor / TV. The saga continues and I am so pissed!
The monitor I paid to upgrade to after the original ordeal had been working fine for the last couple years until about 2 weeks ago. I turned the TV on and everything was black and white. I checked the other inputs and all but the DVI port were doing the same thing. The TV and one of the two RCA inputs came back to color but one is still funky and I am afraid the whole thing is going to go at some point.
I called support and told them what was up with the screen. They said that they don't have that model anymore and I would have to send it in to be repaired. When I informed them that I didn't want to be without my only computer monitor and TV for God knows how long, they said they would send me to a case specialist or some bull shit like that. Deja Vu!
A case rep called me yesterday, over a week later and said that the new monitor was out of warranty and that there was nothing they could do. I missed the call so I called back and talked to some woman who informed me that indeed, the monitor was out of warranty and I am screwed. Same story I got in the previous post. I explained again how I didn't understand why I was out of warranty since I had paid to upgrade to this monitor when I had the problem 2.5 years ago. I was under the impression that I got a new warranty with the NEW monitor. So it's the same story again and this time they seem to have put the final nail in the coffin.
All I have to say to Samsung is fuck off and die. I hope a lot of people read this and do not buy Samsung products. I will NEVER buy a Samsung product again, with the possible exception of a cell phone, which seem to be ok. I told the woman that I work in production and I am going tell everyone I work with not to use Samsung TVs etc in anything they do.
Please hit this post up with comments about your experiences with Samsung. I welcome this to become a Samsung bitch session. These companies need to know that they can't sell shitty products and have bad customer service and get away with it.
