iPhone Killer??

I am sick of reading about the next possible iPhone killer. Each new phone touch screen phone that comes out, the Google G1, Palm Pre, Samsung Instinct, etc. at some point have a headline that reads "Could This Be The Next iPhone Killer?"

There are only two things that could make a phone and iPhone killer -
1. Make a phone with capacitive touch screen technology that has a decent OS that is dirt cheap and has the option for insurance.
2. Make as close to the iPhone as possible but where there are no blocked features and the OS is open source where it can be customized as much as you want.

Short of one of those variables being in play, there will never be an iPhone killer. If someone were to make a phone with a capacitive screen that was dirt cheap and completely open source - it would bring Apple to it's knees.

Until then, please stop labeling any phone an iPhone killer - it's just retarded.
